Frequently Asked Questions

What age groups are your improv workshops designed for?

Our workshops are tailored for children ages 6–12, with activities designed to match their energy levels and developmental stages. We group participants by age to ensure everyone feels comfortable and challenged.

How long is each session, and what’s the format?

Each workshop lasts one hour and combines warm-ups, theatre games, and scene-building exercises. We begin with simple group activities and progress to partner and small-group improv games that reinforce key skills.

What should my child wear or bring?

Comfortable, play-ready clothes and closed-toe shoes are ideal. No special equipment is required—just a big imagination! Water bottles are welcome, and we’ll provide all other materials.

Do parents observe the class?

Yes! Parents are welcome to watch from a designated viewing area. This allows you to cheer on your child without disrupting the flow of the workshop.

What safety measures do you have in place?

Safety is our top priority. All facilitators are background-checked and trained in child-safety protocols. We maintain manageable group sizes and have First-Aid available.

What if my child has never done improv before?

No experience is necessary—our games start simple and build confidence step by step. We foster a “Yes, and…” mindset, so every child feels supported as they learn.

How do I register, and what is your cancellation policy?

View our offerings at blurtimprov.com. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the workshop receive a full refund; after that, we offer credits toward a future session.

Can siblings attend the same workshop?

Absolutely! We welcome siblings in the same age group. Please register each child separately to guarantee their spot.

How many participants are in each workshop?

We limit each session to 20–25 children to ensure personal attention and a collaborative atmosphere.

Who are the instructors?

Our facilitators are professional performers and educators with years of experience. They’re passionate about creating a positive, playful environment where every child can shine.
